Web Stalkers
Chapter 3 -
Web Weirdos

This chapter presented a brief overview of the many types of “weirdos” lurking on the web.  Equipped with this set of guidelines and making use of some old fashioned common sense, netizens can avoid these undesirables and maintain their own web presence unencumbered by the likes of the following:

  • Social Incompetents and Neurotics

  • Pseudo Stalkers

  • Narcissists

  • Dopers

  • Sexual Predators

In additional to web weirdos, this chapter also briefly covered various web addictions, online relationships and over-use of the Internet, identified as Pathological Internet Usage or PIU.

The next chapter will present in-depth information on hard-core web stalkers and what can be done to identify a threat and protect against predators.
