Exporting Static Files

If JavaScript was used in the application, as it was during the examples in the book, those files will have to be exported, too.  Also, any other static files in the application will be exported here.

1.       To export the Static Files (JavaScript), navigate to the Export page as shown in Figure 14.7 and click on the Files tab.

2.       On the Export Static Files page:

  • Static Files: Select the static files to export.

  • File Format: Make a selection.  Again, I always choose Unix.

3.       Click the Export File(s) button.

4.       On the File Download page click the Save button.

One thing to note is the default filename for exporting static files is simply static_file.sql.  It is a good habit to modify this filename so it has more meaning to the developer.
