Disk I/O Tuning
Chapter 3: Tuning the
IEEE1394 Interface
Usually the IEEE1394 interface is only used in Windows, Apple or
LINUX environments. In these environments it is treated as a subset
of the SCSI interface and is tuned accordingly. In fact, the
example used for tuning the SCSI interface in LINUX, shown
previously in this chapter, is actually a session used to tune the
IEEE1394 interface.
As
the Fibre Channel interface is actually a "highway" for other
interfaces to use, it generally requires no tuning. To use it
efficiently, you tune it by tuning the other interfaces.
